Privacy Policy

Overview

DailyWord is a Bible verse devotional app designed with your privacy in mind. This app does not require an account, does not collect personal information, and does not share any data with third parties. Everything you save — favorites, journey progress, and preferences — stays on your device.

Information We Don't Collect

DailyWord does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your name, email address, or any account information (no account is required)
• Your location
• Analytics, usage tracking, or advertising identifiers
• Any data shared with advertisers or third-party services

There are no ads in DailyWord, and no third-party analytics SDKs are included in the app.

Information Stored On Your Device

To provide the app's features, DailyWord stores the following information locally on your device using Apple's standard storage frameworks. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or anyone else:

• Favorites — verses you've saved
• Your Journey — days opened, verses encountered, and streak information
• Preferences — your selected language, notification time, and onboarding status
• Daily verse history — which verse was shown on which day, used to keep your daily verse consistent

If you delete the app, this data is removed from your device. We have no access to it at any point and cannot recover it on your behalf.

Permissions We Request

Notifications — if you enable daily reminders, DailyWord schedules a local notification on your device at the time you choose. These notifications are generated entirely on-device; no data is sent to a server to deliver them.

Photo Library (Add Only) — if you choose to save a verse card as an image, DailyWord requests permission to add that image to your photo library. The app cannot view, browse, or access your existing photos — it can only add the new image you create.

Translation Feature

DailyWord uses Apple's on-device Translation framework to translate verses and insights into other languages. Translation happens entirely on your device using Apple's local models. No verse text, queries, or usage data is sent to DailyWord's servers or any third party for translation purposes.

Children's Privacy

DailyWord does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Because the app collects no personal data from any user, there is nothing to collect, store, or share regardless of age.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
